The historic town of Tewkesbury is convieniently located on our doorstep.

Whilst on your visit to Tewkesbury you may wish to take a tour of Tewkesbury Abbey where all visitors are welcome. Tewkesbury Abbey was founded in 1087 although building of the present Abbey did not start until 1102. The Abbey supports a wide variety of musical activities throughout the year. Inside Tewkesbury Abbey visitors can enjoy a rich architectural and artistic heritage, including medieval stained glass, exsquisitely sculptured tombs and much more.

You may like to visit Tewkesbury High Street, which is full of old and modern day shops, including some of the old town sweet shops which sell a wide variety of sweets and traditional ice creams.There is a great selection of tea rooms and coffe shops where where you can have a refreshment and a variety of pubs and restaurants.

Whilst in Tewkesbury you may like to visit Tewkesbury market which takes place every Wednesday and Saturday where you can buy fresh meats, vegetables, fresh flowers and much more. If you enjoy swimming then why not visit Tewkesbury's swimming pool cascades which has a childs pool, main pool, health suite, fitness suite and a refreshments area where you can get a bite to eat, or if you are more of an entertainment person then you could visit The Roses Theatre which has a wide selection of performances for all ages from live shows to a cinema.

Tewkesbury also has many events taking place throughout the year, a few to name are:

The Medieval Festival: normaly takes place the beginning of July. The medieval festival is a re-enactment of the battle of Tewkesbury where you will also be able to enjoy battlefield walks, a selection of stalls, beer tent and much more.

Tewkesbury Water Festival: normaly takes place towards the end of September. There will be lots to enjoy including bell boats, illuminations, boat parade, live music, fireworks and much more.

Tewkesbury Mop Fair: Normaly takes place beginning of October. Tewkesbury town is filled with fair rides, attractions and stalls. This is a great event to be enjoyed by the whole family.
